Rocket Dweeb
A downloadable game
Rocket Dweeb is a twin-stick shooter that calls back to the earlier games of Williams and Midway, such as Robotron 2084 and Smash T.V. However, the focus for this type of game is more silliness and less seriousness. The backstory is absurd, featuring an abducted biker who is expected to survive waves of dangerous robots as a way to prove whether the entire Earth is worthy. Failure means the Earth is destroyed.
Make no mistake, though: Despite the goofy presentation, this game is intended to attract a hardcore following of people, even if it remains accessible to most players. The game will eventually support a "score attack" type of system in addition to the normal 100-level campaign.
